About the Project
The WPA and other volunteers produced
Colorado marriage records and indexes through 1939. Then a gap exists until 1975
for current records kept at the state level. Marriage records were kept in the
period from January 1940 into 1975 at Arapahoe County. The original three
volumes of Arapahoe County Colorado Marriages published by CGHS cover the period
from January 1940 to June 1965. The marriage records from this period are
contained in this presentation. Records not yet transcribed are from June 1965 to
1975.
This presentation contains the records from the
three published volumes, Arapahoe County Books 19 through 42. Each of the
published volumes contains an Groom and Bride Index for that volume. This
presentation also
contains a combined index that covers all three volumes and is in a somewhat
different format than in the published books. There are 37,746
names contained herein.
