Introduction to the Index

These books have been microfilmed by The Columbine Genealogical and Historical Society, Inc., in order to provide a permanent record of the original books, in the event the original books should be destroyed; and also to make the information more readily available to researchers.

There are seven books of records recorded on this roll of film. The first column is the surname of the deceased and the second column is the given or Christian name of the deceased.  Numbers in the third and fourth columns refer to the book and page numbers.

The Introduction and Names have been reproduced as exactly like the original as possible. Occasionally there is doubt as to the proper spelling of a name, when that occurs the name will appear on the list with more than one spelling, for example: BINGMAN, BINGAMAN.

Members of the Society are grateful to Mr. Robert Drinkwine, Drinkwine Mortuary, 999 West Littleton Boulevard, Littleton, Colorado, 80120, for allowing us to microfilm their records. The original books are to be found at their Mortuary. The roll of microfilmed records may be read at the Edwin A. Bemis Public Library, 6014 South Datura Street, Littleton, Colorado, 80120 in the reference room.
