Activities

Columbine Genealogy holds regular monthly meetings and programs with presentations during our “meeting season” from September through May. Other social and educational activities are scheduled throughout the season to benefit members. Remember, visitors are always welcome at Columbine!

Board of Directors Meetings

Board meetings are held monthly, except in June, July and December. These meetings, always open to membership, take place at 9:00 a.m. on the second Tuesday of the month via Zoom. Members who would like to attend should send an email to president@columbinegenealogy.com requesting the Zoom link.

Program Meetings

Our program meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month except in June, July and August.  Meetings are scheduled at 1:00-3:00 p.m., Mountain Time Zone, and start with a brief business portion followed by a speaker with time for socializing and refreshments. All of these meetings are held both in person and via Zoom. Find the topics and speakers on our Calendar. Guests are always welcome. Skill Sessions

Two-hour workshops are usually scheduled on the third Tuesday of the month and can take place at other times. Locations and times can vary, but will be announced in the newsletter, on the website and in our monthly emails. Many are Zoom only, but a few may be in-person only. Special Interest Groups

We offer four different monthly special interest research groups to help our members further their researches. Find the topics and dates on our Calendar. Our Special Interest Groups are a benefit of membership.

Columbine Writers’ Group

Columbine members who are interested in writing and sharing their family stories meet monthly on Zoom on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10am. This is a casual, low-key, friendly environment, and allows Columbine writers to share, inspire, and get feedback. Writer’s Group is a benefit of membership.

Pot Luck Socials

Two social events are a tradition on the Columbine calendar.  The spring pot luck takes place on the second Tuesday in May before the start of our summer break.  In December, we hold a holiday pot luck with shared holiday treats served prior to an entertaining program. Guests are always welcome.
